Recap: King Wolves vs. Centennial Huskies

The King Wolves pushed their score all the way to 72 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 92-72 walloping at the hands of Centennial. While losing is never fun, King can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Huskies are ranked 25th).

Despite the loss, King still got an impressive performance from Mathias Tinker, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Tinker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Brayard, who scored eight points along with five assists.

King has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season. As for Centennial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-9.

King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centennial will square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
