Football Recap: Elmwood Park Sets Scoring Season-High Against West Chicago

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elmwood Park). They came out on top against the West Chicago Wildcats by a score of 55-48 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

West Chicago's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adriano Rivera, who rushed for 66 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Iann Lemus was another key back, rushing for 67 yards and a pair of TDs.

Elmwood Park's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for West Chicago, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Elmwood Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-8 loss against Riverside-Brookfield on the 10th. As for West Chicago, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-6 defeat against Glenbard East on the 10th.
