Basketball Recap: Pea Ridge Comes Up Short

Pea Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elkins Elks. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Elks are ranked tenth).

Pea Ridge now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Elkins, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pea Ridge will take on Huntsville in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkins and Lincoln will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
