Baseball Recap: Jupiter Comes Up Short

Jupiter was the 8-6 winner over Key West when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Jupiter Warriors fell just short of the Key West Conchs by a score of 10-9 on Saturday.

Jupiter got a good showing from Jack Wahl-Cox, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Wahl-Cox a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Griffin Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Cullen Smith was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Jupiter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Key West, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Jupiter will face off against Cardinal Gibbons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Key West, they will square off against ABF Academy Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
