Baseball Game Preview: Pueblo Warriors vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils

Pueblo hasn't had much luck against Sunnyside recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pueblo Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Sunnyside Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pueblo came up short against Douglas on Thursday, falling 12-4.

Omar Soto was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cuen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sunnyside's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

MICHEL MUNIZ made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sunnyside suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Pueblo, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Pueblo suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Sunnyside in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Pueblo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
