Softball Recap: Carroll Has No Trouble Against Samson

Carroll won the last time they faced Samson and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Carroll Eagles' way against the Samson Tigers as the Carroll Eagles made off with a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Carroll and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Samson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Carroll will host Long at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Samson, they will square off against Cottonwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Samson has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
