Basketball Game Preview: Hanford Bullpups vs. Tulare Union The Tribe

The Hanford Bullpups will venture away from home to take on the Tulare Union The Tribe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hanford will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Dinuba, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Hanford came out on top against Dinuba by a score of 62-50 on Thursday. Given the Bullpups' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Emperors are ranked 602nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tulare Union hadn't done well against Lemoore recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Tulare Union's way against Lemoore as Tulare Union made off with a 58-36 win. The The Tribe have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Hanford's record is now 12-5. As for Tulare Union, their record now sits at 17-2.

Hanford came up short against Tulare Union in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 59-55. Can Hanford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
