Softball Recap: McClatchy Gets the Win

McClatchy took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bella Vista, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos on Saturday, sneaking past 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Broncos on Saturday, they had to take a 7-0 loss.

McClatchy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cali Del Mazzio, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

McClatchy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Bella Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McClatchy will face off against West Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
