Volleyball Recap: Hollywood Takes a Loss

Hollywood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roybal Titans. The Sheiks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hollywood actually scored more points across those five sets (95-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 16-25, 25-16, 13-25, 15-8.

Hollywood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Roybal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hollywood is set to face off against their familiar foe Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Roybal will challenge rival Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
