Recap: Terry Sanford Bulldogs vs. Westover Wolverines
The Terry Sanford Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Westover, falling 85-41. While losing is never fun, Terry Sanford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Westover is ranked 65th).
Terry Sanford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Shortridge, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Higgins-Simmons, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
Terry Sanford's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Westover, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terry Sanford will take on Northwood Temple Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northwood Temple Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,222 points over their last 16 matches. As for Westover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northern Nash at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Izeal Mallory II and Ari Fulton.
