Baseball Recap: Cedar Falls Short of Park City in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cedar can now relate to. They fell just short of the Park City Miners by a score of 6-4 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 on Thursday.

Krew Giles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Cedar: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-12 otherwise.

Cedar has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Park City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-6.

Cedar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Park City, they will take on Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Miners surely won't give up without a fight.
