Football Recap: Brentwood Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Brentwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 21-14 to the Yough Cougars on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Aidan Shaffer was nothing short of spectacular for Yough: he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Shaffer didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended one pass.

Looking ahead, Brentwood is taking a road trip to challenge South Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yough, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Charleroi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
