Basketball Recap: Wilson Piles Up the Points Against Samuell

A well-balanced attack led Wilson over Samuell in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wilson Wildcats blew the Samuell Spartans out of the water with a 53-8 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.

Wilson was led to victory by Diana Jaimes and Kam Rose. Jaimes dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards, while Rose posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Jordan Howie was another key player, putting up four points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Wilson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. As for Samuell, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14.

Wilson has already played their next match, a 54-41 win against Spruce on the 28th. As for Samuell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-5 defeat against Poteet on the 28th.
