Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Stephenson Jaguars

Mt. Zion hasn't had much luck against Stephenson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mt. Zion Bulldogs will square off against the Stephenson Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mt. Zion is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Riverdale, falling 74-53. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Raiders are ranked 205th).

Meanwhile, Stephenson was beaten by Cedar Grove 82-39 on Tuesday. The match marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Stephenson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Mt. Zion came up short against Stephenson in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 71-63. Can Mt. Zion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
