St. Michael the Archangel came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Springs Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Guardians were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Guardians were just returning the favor.

St. Michael the Archangel's offense was headlined by Jordan Redd and Grace Lowry, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Addi MacLean and her 19 assists.

Despite the defeat, Blue Springs had strong showings from Anna Watkiss, who had 11 digs, and Callie Andes, who had six digs and one assist.

St. Michael the Archangel's record is now 18-6. As for Blue Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Michael the Archangel and Blue Springs will both be playing Belton the next time they take the court. The Guardians will head out to face the Pirates at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
