Basketball Recap: Compass Charter Aviators vs. Cole Valley Christian Chargers

The Compass Charter Aviators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 79-47 loss at the hands of Cole Valley Christian. Compass Charter has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Compass Charter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Beau Bristol, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grayson Skimmyhorn, who scored 12 points.

Compass Charter has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Cole Valley Christian, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compass Charter will square off against the Archers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in The Ambrose School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. Cole Valley Christian will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. The timing isn't great for Marsing: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while the Chargers have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
