 Parkway Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Merritt Academy Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Parkway Christian also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Brett Polakowski and  Mark Nesler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Polakowski   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Nesler   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. At the plate,  Polakowski  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2, while  Nesler  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Kyler Maiorana was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.
 Parkway Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record  this season. As for Merritt Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Parkway Christian will head out on the road to  face off against  Lutheran at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Merritt Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Parkway Christian at 4:30  p.m.
