With no LiAngelo Ball in the lineup, Chino Hills (Calif.) got a scare Friday night but prevailed 72-67 over Etiwanda to win its 53rd high school basketball game in a row.

In Ball's absence, Chino Hills (18-0) got 26 points from senior wing Elizjah Scott and 16 from LaMelo Ball.

LiAngelo Ball suffered a sprained ankle Tuesday in a win over Damien and is expected back next week.

The Huskies are ranked No. 2 nationally this week in the MaxPreps High School Top 25.

The 53-game win streak for Chino Hills is believed to be the second longest in the country behind Federal Way (Wash.), who has won 56 in a row dating back to January of 2015.
