It was a good run, but Pueblo South unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Widefield Gladiators. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gladiators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Caeden Herrera was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Pueblo South's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Widefield, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Coming up, Pueblo South is taking a road trip to take on Canon City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Widefield, they will host Discovery Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
