Volleyball Recap: Pekin Takes a Loss

Pekin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Eureka Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Pekin was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Pekin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Eureka, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Pekin will be playing at home against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eureka, they will face off against Heyworth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
