Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Warriors vs. Paetow Panthers

The Jordan Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Paetow Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Jordan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-54 to Katy Taylor.

Meanwhile, Paetow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of Katy Taylor. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 143rd).

Paetow's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Jordan, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12.

Jordan didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Paetow in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jordan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
