Baseball Recap: Winamac's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Winamac can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Cody Wheeler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Winamac's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hutch Martin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Winamac's record is now 9-4. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they moved to 8-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Winamac will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bluejays: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
