Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Lobos vs. Ysleta Indians

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Ysleta. The Lobos will take on the Indians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mountain View's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four games, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mountain View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Ysleta a 1-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lobos as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not much got past Alan Gonzalez, who gave up just eight hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Ysleta off the board. Gonzalez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mountain View is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-14-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Esteban Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Ysleta's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 12-15-1.
