Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Rams vs. Colville Crimson Hawks

For the second straight game, Riverside will face off against Colville. The Rams will head out to square off against the Crimson Hawks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Riverside took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Colville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Crimson Hawks on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

For Colville's part, Ethan Redberg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Redberg is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Bateman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Colville dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Riverside, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-13.
