Soccer Recap: Neuse Charter Comes Up Short

Neuse Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Raleigh Charter Phoenix. While losing is never fun, Neuse Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 459th, while Raleigh Charter are ranked 206th).

Neuse Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Raleigh Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season.

Neuse Charter will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against North East Carolina Prep at 6:00 p.m. Neuse Charter will be up against North East Carolina Prep's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.13 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Raleigh Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge Roxboro Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
