It was a good run, but Sabinal unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Vanguard Christian Knights 54-49.

Vanguard Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Postell, who went 9 for 18 en route to 21 points. Postell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Joshua Robertson was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 16 rebounds and five assists.

Sabinal's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Vanguard Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sabinal will face off against Legacy Traditional Basse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabinal is facing Legacy Traditional Basse at the right time seeing as Legacy Traditional Basse is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
