Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Seattle Christian's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Seattle Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cascade Christian Cougars. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Seattle Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Knight, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Madison Davenport also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Seattle Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Cascade Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seattle Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Bellevue Christian at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cascade Christian will face off against rival Vashon Island at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Cougars' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Pirates have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
