Volleyball Recap: Mathews' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mathews had won two straight games and MACI DARLINGTON did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Mustangs came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Chalker Wildcats with plenty of help from DARLINGTON, who had 25 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-103) Mathews actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 21-25, 16-14.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-7. As for Chalker, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Mathews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Western Reserve on the 17th. As for Chalker, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Pymatuning Valley on the 18th.
