Baseball Recap: North Greene Comes Up Short

North Greene extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 25-3 to the Carrollton Hawks (Lady Hawks). The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Carrollton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Carrollton's part, Charlie Stumpf made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stumpf has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025.

North Greene didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-3 loss against Routt Catholic on the 2nd. Carrollton has also already played their next contest (against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
