Softball Recap: Collins Comes Up Short

Collins came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Boyle County Rebels by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost four in a row.

Collins saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Haverly, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Allie Renfro was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Collins now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Boyle County, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Collins will take on Carroll County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Boyle County, they will face off against Notre Dame Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
