Baseball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlan Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since February 28th.

ETHAN BARRERA was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. EDUARDO TORAL was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Taft's record now sits at 6-14. As for Harlan, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

While Taft had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
