Basketball Recap: Ravenna Takes a Loss

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-33 loss at the hands of the Ord Chanticleers. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Chanticleers are ranked 98th).

Kellie Huryta and Katie Jarzynka certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Huryta posted 11 points, while Jarzynka earned 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Jarzynka a new career-high in assists (three).

Ravenna's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Ord, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Ravenna will face off against St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenna is facing St. Paul at the right time seeing as St. Paul is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Ord, they will challenge Broken Bow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
