Basketball Recap: Baldwin Park Piles Up the Points Against Southlands Christian

A well-balanced attack led Baldwin Park over Southlands Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Braves blew the Eagles out of the water with a 64-27 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Braves had established a 26-point advantage.

Eric Avila had a dynamite game, going 6-for-8 to rack up 16 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Jamhir Hernandez was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Baldwin Park has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 54.5 points this season. As for Southlands Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
