Long Beach Poly has gone a perfect 10-0 against Jordan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jackrabbits will square off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Long Beach Poly will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Long Beach Poly came out on top against Woodrow Wilson on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Jackrabbits blew past the Bruins 15-5. Considering the Jackrabbits have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tegan Breaux made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Bailey Holder and Persjah Lam Sam did most of the damage at the plate: Holder went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Lam Sam got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Lam Sam has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Emoni Lam Sam, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Long Beach Poly kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jordan duked it out with Westminster on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 15-5 to the Lions.
Jaynacy Sablan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Michelle Hernandez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Long Beach Poly's record is now 6-0. As for Jordan, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Long Beach Poly has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .574. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as they've averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Long Beach Poly got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Jordan by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jackrabbits since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
