Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Mount Juliet

The Hendersonville Commandos will head out to take on the Mount Juliet Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hendersonville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Bartlett, who was ranked third at the time (Hendersonville was ranked 23rd). The Commandos fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Hendersonville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mount Juliet kept a clean sheet against Blackman on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blaze, sneaking past 1-0. Mount Juliet wouldn't have won without Caleb Kuck, who scored the game-winner.

Mount Juliet's win bumped their record up to 3-5-2. As for Hendersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Everything went Hendersonville's way against Mount Juliet when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Hendersonville made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Commandos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
