Basketball Recap: Wahama Gets the Win

Wahama won the last time they faced Gilmer County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wahama White Falcons walked away with a 63-52 victory over the Gilmer County Titans.

Gilmer County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Mick, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. Mick's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Ratliff, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Wahama now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Gilmer County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Wahama and Hannan will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wahama is facing Hannan at the right time seeing as Hannan is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gilmer County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 93-49 loss against Tucker County on the 23rd.
