Volleyball Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy lost against Butler back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans came up short against the Aviators, falling 3-0.

While Troy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-9.

Laila Neely went supernova For Butler., getting 18 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Neely has posted over her last 11 matches.

Troy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Butler, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Coming up, Troy will head out on the road to take on Xenia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will square off against Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
