Volleyball Recap: Mya Nelson Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Covenant Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Guerin Catholic, Lebanon was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Covenant Christian Warriors. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Lebanon was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.

Lebanon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mya Nelson led the charge by getting 12 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Nelson has posted over her last seven matchups.

Lebanon pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.
