Bangor dropped their record down to 19-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Gobles Tigers, falling 12-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Vikings, who until this contest were averaging 2.83 runs allowed.

Emily Wisniewski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

As for Gobles, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by eight runs or more this season.

On Gobles' side, Kylee Killeen was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Killeen has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, five runs, and one stolen base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Johnson, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matches. Daisy Jackson was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

While Bangor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
