Recap: Madera South Stallions vs. Torres Toros

This season hasn't been kind to The Madera South Stallions, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were outmatched by Torres at home and fell 49-0. While losing is never fun, Madera South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 899th, while Torres is ranked 350th).

Leading Torres to victory were Joseph Bass and Amani Sua. Bass rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Sua gained 179 total yards and three touchdowns. Sua's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards.

Madera South's loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Orosi and 11-3 Sunnyside (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.3% over those games). As for Torres, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Madera South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Torres will be playing at home against Immanuel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
