Basketball Recap: Haw River Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Haw River Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 38-31 to the Bradford Academy Archers. While Haw River Christian Academy didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Bradford Academy 10-6 in the first quarter.

Bradford Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Martha Crotts led the charge by putting up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Meredith Fairchild, who posted nine points.

Haw River Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bradford Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
