Football Recap: Jasper Skates Past Tarkington with Ease

Jasper can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-0 victory over the Tarkington Longhorns. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jasper found their leader in sophomore Trevor Beatty, who threw for 202 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 49 yards. Major Armstrong was another key player, picking up 121 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Jasper was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 329 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Jasper's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Tarkington, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Jasper nor the Longhorns have any future games scheduled.
