Dillon extended the longest winning streak in AA Region VIII this week by beating Marion, 41-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Loris's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mikel Soles threw for 91 yards and Ryan Bellamy had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Levi Moody chipped in 116 yards.
Loris' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Soles has thrown for 447 yards and one touchdown this season, while Bellamy has 13 catches for 303 yards. Moody leads the league in rushing with 857 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Dillon takes on second place Loris. Last week, Dillon defeated the Swamp Foxes, while the Lions topped Mullins.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Loris takes on Jackie Hayes' team. Jamie Snider's team has allowed 62 points this season, while the Wildcats have given up 73. The Lions allowed 8 points last week as they beat the Auctioneers.
Dillon led AA Region VIII in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Marion.
