Soccer Game Preview: Langham Creek vs. Cypress Woods

Langham Creek hasn't had much luck against Cypress Woods recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Langham Creek Lobos will challenge the Cypress Woods Wildcats at 7:15 p.m.

Langham Creek is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Bridgeland, falling 10-1. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Bears are ranked 140th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Cypress Woods made sure to put some goals up on the board against Waller on Friday. They never let the Bulldogs onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won six games by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cypress Woods has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 11 contests. As for Langham Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Langham Creek might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Cypress Woods in their previous matchup back in January. Can Langham Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
