Baseball Game Preview: American Canyon Wolves vs. Petaluma Trojans

For the second straight game, American Canyon will face off against Petaluma. The Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

American Canyon took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Petaluma, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves beat the Trojans on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

For Petaluma's part, Arlo Pendleton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Deadman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

American Canyon pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Petaluma, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-4.
