            Softball Recap: Leigh Longhorns vs. Woodside Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Leigh had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Woodside Wildcats  9-7. The  win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

 Leigh let  Sophia Hooper and  Camryn Manning-Alarcon run wild. Hooper  went 3-for-4 with six  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base, while  Manning-Alarcon  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  Manning-Alarcon a new career-high in  hits (three).  Brianna Hooper was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI.
