Soccer Recap: Maryvale Prep Takes a Loss

Maryvale Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Academy Heroes. If Maryvale Prep were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to Heritage Academy when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maryvale Prep's record now sits at 3-10. As for Heritage Academy, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maryvale Prep will challenge North Phoenix Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryvale Prep will be up against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.83 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Heritage Academy, they will square off against Phoenix Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
