Baseball Recap: River Ridge Extends Winning Streak to Three

While River Ridge put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Belmont. The Timberwolves narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Braves 1-0. The victory was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

The result came thanks to Blake Reynolds's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because River Ridge is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, River Ridge secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Cael Koenig, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Belmont, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will welcome Iowa-Grant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belmont, they will face off against Potosi/Cassville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
