Softball Recap: Lehman Comes Up Short

If Lehman was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Cedar Park last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lehman Lobos fell 5-1 to the Glenn Grizzlies on Friday. The Lobos haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lehman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Uptmore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That hit marked the first that Uptmore got this season.

Lehman's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6-1. As for Glenn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Lehman and Glenn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lehman will square off against Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 218 places (316 vs. 98). Similarly, Glenn (ranked 241st) will meet Liberty Hill (ranked 38th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
