Basketball Recap: Cypress Bay Takes a Loss

Cypress Bay suffered their closest loss since January 14th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers by a score of 44-41. The contest marked the Lightning's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Asa Fortune was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 16 points. Caleb Hardaway was another key player, putting up nine points.

Cypress Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Cypress Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-57 win against Berkmar on the 19th. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 73-72 loss against Lipscomb Academy on the 19th.
